What is the P-Shot?
The P-Shot, also called the Priapus Shot®, is a non-surgical treatment for erectile dysfunction, reduced sensitivity, and Peyronie's disease. A small sample of your own blood is processed in a medical-grade centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, then injected into the penis under topical anaesthetic. The growth factors stimulate new blood vessel formation, collagen production, and nerve regeneration. The full appointment takes 60-90 minutes. Most men return to work the same day.
Why choose us for your P-Shot?
- 1.Doctor-performed, not delegated. Every step, from consultation and blood draw to centrifuge work and the injections themselves, is done by your doctor personally. No nurses. No technicians. Same hands from start to finish.
- 2.Dual-spin PRP. We use a medically guided dual-spin protocol that concentrates platelets to a higher level than standard single-spin methods.
- 3.Same-day combination with low-intensity shockwave. Where vascular factors are part of the picture, we offer an Enhanced P-Shot + Shockwave option in the same appointment for £1,350.
- 4.CQC-regulated, GMC-registered. Full medical indemnity, BMA membership, Royal College of General Practitioners and Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh affiliations. American Cellular Medical Association P-Shot certification.
- 5.Honest expectations. PRP is a growing field and individual results vary. We discuss realistic expectations before any commitment is made.
- 6.Confidential care. Confidential consultations and discreet, professional care are part of the experience.
What does the P-Shot treat?
The P-Shot is most often used for one or more of the following. Each links through to a dedicated treatment page with the evidence, protocol, and what to expect.
- Erectile dysfunction, particularly vasculogenic ED, including ED secondary to diabetes, hypertension, or age-related vascular decline.
- Peyronie's disease, including penile curvature, plaque formation, and associated pain.
- Recovery after prostate cancer treatment, supporting tissue repair following radical prostatectomy or radiotherapy.
- Reduced sensitivity or weaker orgasms, where tissue and nerve regeneration may help in the absence of overt ED.
- Lichen sclerosus in men, with anti-inflammatory and regenerative support for affected tissue.
What happens during a P-Shot appointment?
Aftercare: drive home, return to work, abstain from sexual activity for 4-5 days. 6-week and 12-week follow-ups included.
- Step 1. Private consultation (20-30 min). Medical history, frank discussion of expectations, whether the Standard P-Shot or the Enhanced + Shockwave protocol is right for you, and consent.
- Step 2. Blood draw + dual-spin PRP processing (15 min). A small arm sample is processed in our medical-grade centrifuge.
- Step 3. Numbing + injections (15-25 min). Topical anaesthetic or penile nerve block, ultra-fine needles, and four to five carefully placed injections by your doctor.
- Step 4. Enhanced only: low-intensity shockwave (15 min). Low-intensity acoustic waves are applied to the shaft and crura immediately after the PRP, supporting cellular uptake.
How quickly does the P-Shot work?
What to expect, week by week:
| Timeframe | What you may notice |
|---|---|
| Week 1-2 | Settling, possible mild sensitivity, minor swelling resolves |
| Week 3-4 | Earlier and firmer morning erections in many patients |
| Week 6 | First follow-up. Early functional improvements assessed |
| Week 8-12 | The main window for clinically meaningful improvement in firmness, sensitivity, and confidence |
| 12 weeks | Second follow-up. Most patients report peak effect here |
| 12-18 months | Sustained results in responders. Maintenance discussed if indicated |
P-Shot results, reviews and before-and-after expectations
| Question patients ask | Page answer |
|---|---|
| What can change after the P-Shot? | Firmness, reliability, sensitivity, morning erections, confidence and response to stimulation may improve in responders |
| When should I judge results? | Early changes are often reviewed around 6 weeks, with the main judgement window at 8-12 weeks |
| Are results guaranteed? | No. PRP response varies and some men do not respond meaningfully |
| Can I see reviews? | Use approved Google, Trustpilot or consented patient-review assets only |
| Are before-and-after photos available? | Only use approved, consented material. Otherwise use text-based outcome expectations |
Can you combine the P-Shot with shockwave therapy?
Where vascular dysfunction is a primary driver, such as diabetes, smoking history, age over 55, or sub-optimal response to oral medication, we can combine focused low-intensity shockwave therapy with the P-Shot in the same appointment. The acoustic waves prepare the tissue and improve cellular uptake of the PRP growth factors. Bundled at £1,350 (saving £400 against booking separately).
