Low-intensity extracorporeal shockwave therapy, also called LI-ESWT, uses targeted acoustic waves to stimulate vascular repair pathways in erectile tissue. It's a non-invasive treatment used for erectile dysfunction and musculoskeletal health, with a typical ED protocol of 6 sessions over 6 weeks when booked as a standalone course.
Why combine shockwave with PRP?
The Enhanced protocol combines PRP with low-intensity shockwave therapy in the same appointment. The rationale is that acoustic waves may enhance cellular uptake and further support blood vessel formation. This is most relevant where vascular factors are a primary contributor to erectile dysfunction.
Who is the Enhanced protocol for?
